RODEN, 86 IS TAKEN BY DEATH LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENT IS BURIED THIS AFTERNOON Mrs. Sallie Roden, aged 86, well known Lawrence county resident, whose home was south of Town Creek, passed away Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the home, following a lingering illness. The deceased was a native and life long resident of that community and had many friends who will learn with deep regret of her passing. She was a member of the Methodist church, at Sanderson's Chapel. Surviving are two sons, Albert Roden, of Leighton, and Rufe Roden, Florence; a daughter, Mrs. Jack Jeffreys, of Town Creek and a brother, Nill Berryman, of Landersville. Funeral service were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Roden cemetery, conducted by Rev. Cal Sanderson, of the Methodist church. Interment followed there, Spry's directing.
