Albright was born in Lee County, Alabama in 1867. He is the son of Oswell J. Albright, former sheriff of Lee County, and his wife. Joseph J. Albright is the youngest child of a large family; received education in the public schools of Opelika, and has been occupied in various pursuits: 1886-91, a merchant at Luthersville, Ga.; 1891-95, deputy sheriff to his father in Lee county; 1895-97 cattle ranchman in Texas, and since 1897 has been engaged in successful farming in Randolph county, Ala.
