This file was contributed and copyrighted by: Elizabeth Fisher =============================================================================== = May 2006 INGRAM FAMILY CEMETERY (Includes the old Buchanan and Morgan-Hartman Cem's.) This cemetery is located on private property owned by descendants of Bartholomew Ingram. It sits west, off of Hwy 51 about 3/10ths of a mile south of Hwy 80 at Marvyn, Alabama. Currently in the southern most portion of Lee County, this area was once part of Russell County. While the old cemeteries of the Buchanan Family, the Ingram Family, and the Morgan-Hartman Family are reported to be separate cemeteries, they are enclosed in one chain-link fenced area on a hill slope behind the Ingram home. Since all of the graves are fenced together, I have titled this transcription as the Ingram Family Cemetery. Where I could not read an inscription's date, etc., I used info from a 1963 transcription that appeared in Tap Roots. Transcribed April 2006 by Liz Fisher. Survey begins in the northwest corner with each row being read north to south. KEY: h/o = husband of w/o = wife of s/0 = son of d/o = daughter of s/s = same stone with * = per 1963 transcription Information in parenthesis ( ) added by Elizabeth Fisher.
