JOHNSON & SUSAN JOHNSON, his wife sold to John CARR the following parcel or lot of land: One-third (1/3) undivided interest in a parcel of land lying & being in Lee County as follows: The lot at the North-West corner formed by the intersection of Chambers and Jefferson Streets, in the town of Opelika, facing twenty-three (23) feet on Chambers Street & running back on Jefferson Street ninety five (95) feet; and on which is now situatid the store-house occupied by A.J. COOPER & CO; and being a part of Lot ten (10) Block six (6). For the sum of $1,666.00 and 69/100ths. Additional Comments: L.S. JOHNSON is Labon Scott JOHNSON, son of WILLIAM JOHNSON and MARGARET SCOTT. The JOHNSON family can be found on the Russell County, AL census for years 1850; 1860; 1880.
