Deed Book 'G' Page 844, Lee County, AL.  THOMAS M. WALTON purchased 45 acres 
of land from John B. TATE & his wife REBECCA TATE.  John B. TATE reserved to 
himself and his heirs the right of using water and keeping a spring in order 
an repair.  Purchase price of the land was $4,000.00.
The tract of land to-wit:  Beginning at the Old Federal Road where the 
dividing line between Section County two (2) and County three (3) Twonship 
sixteen (16) Range twenty seven (27) confers, said road running from thence 
along said line Northerly to the half-mile stakes; thence West five hundred 
and fifty (550) yards;  thence South to the Old Federal Road;  thence along 
said road Eastwardly to the beginning corner, containing by estimations forty-
five (45) acres more or less.  Signed JOHN B. TATE   REBECCA TATE  before 
Henry S. SIMMONS, J.P. Recorded May 27, 1881 by Thomas S. TATE, Judge of 
Probate.

Additional Comments:
T.M. Walton is THOMAS MARION Walton, son of Dr. Robert WALTON. Thomas Marion 
Walton's wife was Mary Elizabeth JOHNSON, daughter of Labon Scott JOHNSON and 
Susanna WALKER.
