Written: December 17, 1869

Deed Book V Page 195: Dated December 17, 1869. T.M. WALTON purchased property 
on Chambers Street in Opelika, Alabama from JAMES C. PHELPE and his wife MARY 
A. PHELPE.  For the sum of eight hundred dollars ($800.00), T.M. WALTON 
purchased a parcel of land known in the plan of said town as twenty three feet 
front on Chambers St., bounded Sough by O.H.HARWELL, North by J.C. & J.K. 
EDWARDS, running back eighty feet, the same being a portion of Section seven 
(7), Township nineteen (19), Range twenty seven (27).

Additional Comments:
T.M. WALTON is Dr.Thomas Marion Walton (CSA) husband of Mary Elizabeth 
JOHNSON. Sellers of the property were James C. PHELPE and his wife Mary A. 
PHELPE. There was only one date on this record.
