Confederate Pension
M.T. Garrett made application in Lee County, Alabama before the Judge of 
Probate stating that he was a soldier in company G of 37 Regiment of Ala Vols 
and that on the 22 day of July 1864 at Atlanta in the state of Georgia he was 
wounded in the foot. He is listed as a farmer and his post office address is 
Auburn, Ala

It was signed before the Judge of Probate with his mark

Additional Comments:
After the Battle of Lookout Mountain and Missionary Ridge and winter over in 
Dalton Matthew was with his regiment in all the Georgia campaigns 
including,Rocky Face Mountain, Resaca, New Hope Church, and at the Battle of 
Atlanta.
