He is listed as a farmer and his post office address is Auburn, Ala It was signed before the Judge of Probate with his mark Additional Comments: After the Battle of Lookout Mountain and Missionary Ridge and winter over in Dalton Matthew was with his regiment in all the Georgia campaigns including,Rocky Face Mountain, Resaca, New Hope Church, and at the Battle of Atlanta.
