His obituary in the Opelika News states he was buried in the
Shady Grove Cemetery on Highway 29 in Opelika.  He was the son of
Pinckney Harrington McGinty (b. 6 July 1839 i Osanippa, Alabama)
and Celia Toland Pitts McGinty (b. 2 January 1839 in Chambers County,
Alabama).
