Columbus Daily Enquirer, July 30, 1892
Died at Summerville--- Mr. James Bird died at his home in Summerville, Ala., 
at half past 8 o’clock last night of fever, after an illness of about a 
month.  The deceased was a brother of William Barr of Summerville and uncle of 
Mrs. W. H. Gibson of this city.  The burial will take place at Mt. Zion 
cemetery near Smith’s Station at 5 o’clock this afternoon.
