Meadows Mill Covered Bridge
over Hallawakee Creek, Lee County, Alabama
The backwaters of Bartlett's Ferry Dam come to the 
old dam that was used when Meadows grist mill 
ran. This bridge is listed in the WORLD GUIDE TO
COVERED BRIDGES as Hallawakee Creek Bridge,
no. 01-41-03, on Tillery Creek Road 2 spans, 140'
long, Town type construction. Located near Beulah
community off U. S. 29, noth of Opelika. The ALA-
BAMA HISTORICAL COMMISSION is working with 
interested Lee Countians to preserve this fine 
wooden-pegged bridge.
