(death year hard to read, could be 1893, 1896, or other) Additional Comments: Per the 1880 US Census, Lee County, AL, Allen R. Wheelis was born in Georgia. He was a son of Lewis & Tabitha Wheelis, shown in the 1850 US Census, Pike County, Georgia. His mother, Tabitha, and some of his siblings are living next door to Allen and his wife in the 1860 US Census, Chambers County, Alabama. Allen married Isabella F. Coleman on July 3, 1851 in Chambers County, Alabama, married by B. F. Harris, JP. Known children were Amanda, Mary, Wade K., David Monroe, Isabella, Sidney Thomas, and Patrick H. Mary married Thomas Jones on August 26, 1880. Sidney Thomas married Sallie Cummings on December 16, 1906 and Patrick married Ida Ford on November 13, 1902, all in Lee County. Wade and David both became physicians. David married Sallie E. Cook and in later years lived in Muskogee County, Georgia where they are buried in the Riverdale Cemetery.
