Additional Comments:
Per the 1880 US Census, Lee County, AL, Isabel Wheelis was born in South
Carolina.  She was a daughter of Nancy Coleman, shown in the 1850 US Census,
Chambers County, Alabama.  Isabella F. Coleman married Allen R. Wheelis on July
3, 1851 in Chambers County, Alabama, married by B. F. Harris, JP.  Known
children were Amanda, Mary, Wade K., David Monroe, Isabella, Sidney Thomas, and
Patrick H.  Mary married Thomas Jones on August 26, 1880. Sidney Thomas married
Sallie Cummings on December 16, 1906 and Patrick married Ida Ford on November
13, 1902, all in Lee County.  Wade and David both became physicians.  David
married Sallie E. Cook and in later years lived in Muskogee County, Georgia
where they are buried in the Riverdale Cemetery.
