The Alabama Courier
 Mrs. Vea Atrice Brackeen, 81, Athens Rt. 6, died at 3 a.m. Friday at the 
Athens-Limestone Hospital.
 Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ.
 Roy Hearn and A. J. Rollings were the officiating ministers. Burial was in the 
Higgins Cemetery. McConnell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. 
 Surviving Mrs. Brackeen are her husband, John P. Brackeen, Athens Nursing 
Home; a son, Charlie Brackeen, Athens Rt 6; two brothers, Wiley Bullington and 
Clifford Bullington, both from Athens and a sister, Mrs. Vona Davis, Athens Rt 
6; 12 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
 Nephews served as pallbearers.
