From THE ATHENS POST  -  Friday, November 27, 1874

---The body of WILSON S. McKINNEY who was drowned
near Buck Island in Elk river, week before last, has been
recovered.  It had lodged against some drift wood at a point
just above Blackburn's upper place.  The remains were interred
by his friends the day following.
