19 Jun 1947  The Alabama Courier
 Mrs. Mary Nelson, 73, who has been ill for the past two months, died on June 
12 at her residence. Funeral services were conducted from Nelson Cemetery on 
Saturday, June 14 at 2p.m. by Rev. D. W. Akins. McConnell-Service was in charge 
of the burial.
 The deceased is survived by her husband, Will Nelson; two sons, Robert of 
Falkville and A.C., Madison route 1; three sisters, Jodie, Carrie and Thenia, 
and 14 grandchildren.
 Clarence Hillard, Clarence Gwathney, Charlie Montgomery, Arthur Self, James 
Morrison and Larkin Hillard served as pallbearers.
