 John Raymond Patterson, 76, Rt. 5, Athens, died at Athens - Limestone 
Hospital.
 Furneal services were Wednesday, July 7, at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with 
Rev. Jerry McGivney, and Rev. James Wilson officiating. Burial was in 
Limestone Memorial Gardens, Spry Funeral Home directing.
 Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Blanche Patterson, Athens; four daugthers, 
Mrs. Faye Camp, Anderson, Mrs. Verta Mae Combs, Lexington, Mrs. Greta 
Stanford, Athens, and Mrs. Shirley Sandlin, Decatur; one son Arvell Patterson, 
Anderson; one brother, Wilson Patterson, Athens; four sister, Mrs, Ida Moore, 
Athens, Mrs. Fannie Chapman, Mrs. Cora Shay, and Mrs. Trudie Anderson, all of 
Florida; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
 Mr. Patterson was a member of Poplar Creek Baptist Church.
