 Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Griggs Stanford, 87, West Hobbs St. Athens, 
who died Friday, Oct 9, at Limestone Nursing home, will be today at 2 p.m. at 
Spry Runeral Home Chapel, Bro. Gray Kelsey and Rev. James P. Adams 
officiating. Burial will be in Legg Cemetery.
 Mrs. Stanford was a member of the Northside Church of Christ.
 Survivors include one daughter; one sister; one brother; 9 grandchildren; 15 
great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
 Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.


Additional Comments:
She was born 23 Aug 1900 to Dewitt Gordon and Lillian Mae Downs Griggs in 
Giles Co., Tennessee. She had 7 sisters and 2 brothers.
