Most of the graves in this site are marble, large and elaborate and very close 
together. It is hard to get a good picture of the engraving.

Capt. John R. Mason
Born in Virginia the 23rd of Dec. 1803
Died in Iuka, Miss the 10th April 1862
Aged 58 Yrs, 3 Mos & 6 Days 
C.S.A. marker; On the opposite side of this monument is the Masonic "G" symbol 
with the Master Mason letters surrounding it. (HTWSSTK)
Located in the Mason Family plot which is bordered by concrete, west of Gate 
1, behind (west of) the Coman monuments.
