Additional Comments:
Son of Ryle Cowan and Minnie Vaughn Cowan; husband of Maudie Hayes Cowan
Per his death certificate, Emmett died December 30, 1936.  His tombstone seems 
to be in error.

Marriage records show that Emmett was married first when he was 16 years old and 
24 when he married Maude Elnora Hayes on December 9, 1929.  They had first 
applied for a license in September and returned it in October.  The license 
executed in December was a second license.
