From a survey listed in the October 1996 newsletter of the
Lowndes County Historical and Genealogical Society:

"This cemetery was located on the Lowndes-Butler County line
south of Fort Deposit, beside Highway 185South.  These names 
were written down by H. P. Barbanier about three years before
all were destroyed but one.  Excavation had begun before the 
graves were discovered.

It is believed that this was part of the cemetery for the
County Line Baptist Church."
