The old Soles homestead was located immediately East of the cemetery and adjacent to county road 63 approximately 2 1/3 miles south of the intersection of county road 4 and county road 63. The Joseph Soles home is believed to have been located at 32° 03' 32" North latitude and 86 ° 53' 51" West longitudes. A pad site where the house once stood is still visible (Oct 2004). The house burned in 1929. The cemetery is located on private property and access should not be attempted without appropriate permission from the landholder. The land is leased for agricultural purposes so the actual landowner cannot grant access rights. The property lessee must be contacted for permission to enter the property. The cemetery is located on Southern end on the top of a ridge line extending in a North to South manner. Access to the cemetery was available through a gate onto a cattle pasture located immediately opposite the entry to Farmersville Baptist church on county road 63. The church is located at 32° 04' 07" North Latitude and 86° 53' 11" West longitude. The church is approximately 1 2/3 miles south of the intersection of county road 4 and county road 63 in Lowndes County. The path from the gate to the cemetery is not marked. The current property owner has an unimproved bridge across a creek that makes vehicular passage possible. Attempts to access the cemetery via a passenger car is not recommended. The cemetery appears to be situated in a grove of oak and pine trees. The area has been logged periodically; local residents recall that one logging operation indiscriminatingly cut trees from the entire area oblivious to the location of the cemetery. Two very large oak trees still remain in the cemetery area. Smaller pine trees and other vegetation have overgrown the area. The remnants of a gateway to the cemetery are visible at the North end of the area. The cemetery is overgrown and in very poor condition. The cemetery contained 50 to 75 unmarked graves that were clearly identifiable by the depressions in the ground. Another four graves had markers. The accumulation of humus and debris over time has added approximately 12" of depth to the forest floor. The size of the physical area of the cemetery was estimated to be between 1 and 1½ acres.
