Probate Lowndes County } Judge of said county: The undersigned Administratix of the estate of Lawrence M. Pruitt late of said county deceased, respectfully represents unto your Honor that said decedent died seized and possessed of the following personal property, to wit: slaves - York, a man aged about 50 years, - Jasper, a man aged about 49 years, - Henry, a man aged about 20 years, - Eli, a man aged about 20 years, - Chaney, a woman aged about 40 years, - Maria, a woman and two children Laura and Frank, - Dick, a boy about 11 years old, - also mules - cattle - hogs - corn and fodder. Said Administratrix further represents that said estate is solvent. She therefore asks your Honor to make an order appointing Commissioners to divide said property equitably among the following named persons who are heirs and distributees of said estate, they and they alone being the heirs of said decedent, to wit: Mrs. Malinda Pruitt, the widow of said dec'd - McCormick Pruitt, Jeffalonah Pruitt, Wallace W. Pruitt, and Mary Francis Pruitt who are children of the dec'd, and reside in said county all of whom are entitled to an equal share of said property.
