Lowndes County

	Know all men by these presents that I Tyre Kelly of the County of 
Lowndes and State of Alabama for and in consideration of the sum of fifty 
dollars in hand paid by Thomas Minyard of the aforesaid state and county 
receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge do hereby give grant bargain sell off 
and confirm unto the said Thomas Minyard the following tract or parcel of land 
lying and being in the aforesaid state and county that is to say the South East 
quarter of section Twenty eight of the South west fourth of section Twenty 
eight Township No. eleven Range No. 17 containing Forty acres and eleven 
hundredths of an acre to have and to hold the said premises to the said Thomas 
Minyard his heirs and assigns to their use and behoof forever ------ Covenant 
with the said Thomas Minyard  his heirs and assigns and that I will ------ and 
defend forever the said premises to said Thomas Minyard his heirs and assigns  
against the lawful claims and demands of all persons. In witness whereof I have 
hereunto set my hand and seal in the year of our lord one thousand eight 
hundred and thirty nine in the presence of .

Know all men by these presents that I Mary Kelly wife of Tyre Kelly the grantor 
named for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to me in hand paid the 
receipt whereof  I do hereby acknowledge do herby __________release relinquish 
to Thomas Minyard the within named his heirs and assigns and assigns all rite 
title _____ and claim to dower which I may have as his widow in and to the 
lands and forever within described. In witness whereof I have set my hand and 
seal this 2nd day of March 1839

The State of Alabama
Lowndes  County

	I John B. Coker one of the Justices Lowndes County of the peace county 
do hereby certify that I this day examined the above Mary Kelly wife of Tyre 
Kelly privately
and apart from her husband and that on such private examination she 
acknowledges that she signed sealed and delivered the forgoing instrument on 
her voluntary act and without any threat fear or compulsion of her said 
husband. In Witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 2nd 
day of March 1839.

	I do hereby certify that on the first 31st day of March 1839 the above 
named Tyre Kelly personally appeared before me and acknowledged the above 
instrument to be his free act and deed. Witness my hand and seal this 31st day 
of March 1839
