The axle of the front drivers broke, causing the connecting rod on the engineer's side to be wrenched in twain. He looked out to see what was the trouble and the broken rod hurled him into enternity without a moment's warning. He was well-liked by everyone along the line. It was the same engine that was pilling the ill-fated train, No. 7
