Freeman and his wife, Miranda D. She married Caswell William Garrett on Dec. 8, 1891. "March 29, 1954 Garrett, Mrs. Eva Freeman, a resident of Montgomery for more than 23 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. A. Pound, in Columbus, Georgia, early this morning. She would have been 88 years old in May. Surviving are her husband, C. W. Garrett, Lowndes County, 5 daughters: Mrs. Jo E. Persons, New Orleans, Louisana, Mrs. E. S. McCurdy, Lowndesboro, Mrs. G. G. Pinkston, Montgomery, Mrs. Murphy Pound and Mrs. E. A. Pound of Columbus, Georgia; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Haynesville on Tuesday at 11 AM. Buriel will be in the family cemetery. The family requests no flowers." Eva Freeman's husband died in 1916. This obituary was in error. Caswell William's will was proved after his death. The date of the proof was Oct. 20, 1916. Finally, his grave was found in the Cheek Place Cemetery, Lowndes County, with a headstone with the death date of Sept. 30, 1916. The daughters were: Mrs. Jo E. Persons - Georgia Freeman Garrett married Joe R. Person on Nov. 12, 1912 in Lowndes County Mrs. E. S. McCurdy - Mary Garrett married Edward Sellers McCurdy on Jan 25, 1915 in Lowndes County Mrs. G. G. Pinkston - Pauline Garrett married G. G. Pinkston Mrs. Murphy Pound - Eva Garrett married Murphy Pound Mrs. E. A. Pound - Nancy Garrett married E. Aldean Pound Anothr infant was born to Caswell and Eva Freeman Garrett and is buried near Eva in the Muschat-Gilchrist Cemetery, Hayneville, Lowndes County, Alabama
