R. Golson. She passed to the great beyond on Sunday a.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. W. Bateman in College Park, Georgia. Mrs. Bama Goldsmith Golson was born in Fort Deposit, Lowndes County, Alabama, April 8, 1869, and grew to splendid young womanhood beloved by all who knew her for her sweet, gentle nature. She was married to the man of her choice, the late lamented Howell Rose Golson of Fort Deposit, and kept in her loving care the three children of her only sister, who was Mr. Golson’s first wife. They lived in Lowndes County, until they moved to Wetumpka in 1896. Mrs. Golson was truly a home maker and her home was her kingdom, her husband and children its bright shining jewels. She was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church and lived a Christian life, sweet in all its fullness….. Funeral services were conducted from the family home in Wetumpka on Monday, p.m. at 4 o’clock. Surviving are two daughters: Miss Frances Golson, Editor of the Wetumpka Herald and Mrs. Florence Golson Bateman of College Park, Ga.; three sons, John Fuller Golson of Sylacauga, Howell Hunter Golson of Abbeville, and Henry G. Golson, of Sheffield; three grandchildren, Misses Frances Golson, Atlanta, Ga., Florence Golson and William Howell Golson, both of Abbeville; two brothers, P. A. Goldsmith of Montgomery and R. L. Goldsmith of Whithall, Lowndes County. Relatives attending from out of town: Mr. Howard Smith; Mr. Frontis H. Moore; Mrs. T. C. McKeithen; Mrs. Kendall Palmer; Mr. Dayton Fay; Mr. and Mrs. F. C.
