Additional Comments:
John William Robinson, son of Cornelius Robinson and Martha Owen DeJarnette, was
born July 19, 1843 in Autauga County, Alabama.  He died from typhoid fever on
November 4, 1884.  He married first Mary Lafayette May, daughter of Asa Thomas
May and Mary Caroline Bostwick.  She was born June 2, 1849 and died from
childbed fever on January 10, 1883.  Their daughter, Francis Kathleen Robinson
Garrett, remembered well burying her parents in this cemetery though no marker
can be found for Mary Lafayette May Robinson.  John had married 2nd to Mary's
sister, Selina McClarey May Kelly Bryant, on June 21, 1884 with John's death
that November.  It is thought that this was a marriage of convenience to care
for John and Mary's five surviving children and Selena's daughter, Lucy May Bryant.
