Hunley Lowndes County, Alabama Will Book B, pages 136 – 138 In the name of God, Amen. I, Ransom G. Hunley of the county of Lowndes and state of Alabama being of sound mind and disposing memory, do make, ordain, publish, and declare this my last Will and testament in manner form and substance as follows: It is my will, wish, and desire that all my property both real and personal and mixed shall be kept together by my Executrix until my youngest son, Ransom G. Hunley, shall arrive at the age of twenty one years. It is my will, wish and desire that all of the property as well that which shall have accumulated after my death as also that of which I shall have died possessed or entitled to though not in possession shall be equally divided among and between my beloved wife, Caroline Matilda Hunley, and such of my children as shall be then living and here I wish it understood that the term children is intended to include the descendants of any of my children should any die before the said division and distribution having lineal descendants, the descendants of a deceased child to take only among them the share of their ancestor, that ancestor being my child. It is my will, wish and desire that my Executrix herein after appointed shall have the sole and exclusive control and management of all my Estate until distributed and shall also have full power and authority at her own discretion to sell all or any part or portion of real estate that may at anytime belong to my Estate previous to the division thereof, and shall have the like authority at her discretion to purchase real estate or personal property and further, full power and authority is hereby given to my said Executrix to remove all or any portion of my personal property to any place she may select, whether in this state or out of it, and this at her own discretion, and also at her discretion to remove on application to the count in which the same may be the administration of my estate to any court of any other county in this or any other state as she may select. It is my will, wish and desire, that until a division and distribution of my estate shall take place as is above provided my beloved wife Caroline Matilda shall be decently supported and maintained, and my children shall also be educated, maintained and supported out of my estate. I hereby appoint my beloved wife, Caroline Matilda Guardian of all my minor children. I hereby constitute and appoint my beloved wife, Caroline Matilda Hunley, sole executrix of this my last Will and testament, hereby revoking all other and former wills and testaments by me made. Hunley, deceased, sign, seal, publish and declare in his lifetime the within instrument of writing as his last Will and testament, and that the said Ransom G. Hunley was at the time of making and signing the same said instrument of writing within named, was of sound, disposing mind and memory, and that the deponents, at the ______ of the said Ransom G. Hunley in his life time in his presence and in the presence of each other signed and subscribed the same as witnesses thereto and that was done at the day and date of the Will.
