Sworn to t is 29th day of Feb. 1864 T. W. Williams James W. Graham Judge of Probate Additional Comments: Mary Robinson Dudley was born about 1796, the daughter of Cornelius Robinson and his wife, Elizabeth Pickett. Cornelius before December 28, 1798 as his will was probated in the Montgomery Co., NC Court on that date. Mary was but a toddler. She married John Alston Dudley before 1813 as that is the year their daughter, Mary Alston Dudley, was born in NC. John Alston and Mary Robinson Dudley settled at one time in Autauga Co., AL. Their children were: Mary Alston Dudley, wife of Eli Terry Robinson, of Lowndes Co., AL; Eliza Lillington Dudley, married Mr. McKenzie, deceased before this will date; Amanda P. Dudley, wife of J. M. Dissoway and William Winter Gordon, Martha Robinson Dudley, wife of James W. Napier Torrence; Cornelia Dudley, never married; and Sarah “Sallie” Dudley, wife of Tod Reginald R. Wyatt. The daughter listed in the will as Laura T. Wyatt, wife of Tod Wyatt, was actually Sarah “Sallie.” From family Bible records, Sallie married Tod on February 5, 1851. Again, when the original will was transcribed, it is possible the transcriber had a hard time reading Sallie’s name.
