NeSmith was the wife of George M. NeSmith. She was born in NC about July, 1812 and died June 12, 1890. She is buried next to her son, George M. NeSmith, Jr. in the Little Sandy Ridge Cemetery, Lowndes Co., AL Will of Martha M. NeSmith Lowndes County, Alabama Will Book C, page 247 Know all men by these presents, that I, Martha M. NeSmith of Lowndes County in the State of Alabama, being in failing health, but sound of mind, do make and publish this my last will and testament. First: My will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall by my Executors hereinafter named, be paid out of my Estate, as soon after my decease as convenient. Second: I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved daughter, Eliza Jane NeSmith, all the real, personal and mixed property and estate of which I shall die seized and possessed or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease. Third: Having full confidence in the integrity of my son, George M. NeSmith, I so nominate and appoint him to be the Executor without bond of this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof, I the said Martha M. NeSmith, have to this my last will and testament subscribed my hand and affixed my seal this 30th day of May, 1891. Martha M.
