Davis, being of sound mind and disposing memory, but being in the Army, where life is very uncertain, make this day y last will and testament in manner and form as follows: I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Unity Davis, all of my property, both real and personal, until my last child shall become of age, her name being Ann Jane Davis, when such time shall expire, the property shall be equally divided among the heirs as the law may diret. I also want my wife, Unity Davis, to act as Administratrix on my Estate until the last child shall become of age, unless she should get married before the last child shall become of age, and if such should be the case, I want another appointed to act for them. I want my property, both real and personal, to be equally divided among the following heirs: Whity Davis, Mary F. Davis, George J. Davis, James W. Davis, Ann J. Davis. I, this day, 27th June 1863 set my hand and Seal William Davis Test: G. M. Hall C. J. Justice L. L. Hall J. F. Williams The State of Alabama, Lowndes County. To the Honorable Probate Court of said County: The undersigned widow of William Davis of said County, respectfully represents unto your Honor the said Decedent at his death left a Will and Testament, which she herewith presents for Probate. She further represents unto your Honor that Petitioner and the following named children, minors, to-wit: Whity Davis, Mary F. Davis, George J. Davis, James W. Davis, and Ann J. Davis, are heirs and the only ones at law of said decedent, that they all reside in said County, and she respectfully asks your Honor to make an order appointing a day for the Probate of said Will and issue notices thereof to the said interested parties and make any other orders or issues in the premises that your Honor may deem meet and proper.
