ALGenWeb Archives File Manager Carolyn Golowka, ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Submitted by Carolyn Golowka, March 2001 Will of Anna Virginia Clayton Mealing, Lowndes County, Alabama Will Book D, pages 11, 12 The State of Alabama, Lowndes County Know all men by these presents that I, Anna Virginia Mealing, being of sound mind and humbly grateful to Almighty God for his past protection and many fold blessings and comforts with which he has surrounded me, do hereby make this, my last Will and testament. First: I direct that my just debts be paid by my executors hereinafter named, as soon after my death as may, by them, be found convenient. Second: I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved niece, Mrs. Virginia Louise Beers, the following real estate, to-wit: The south east 1/4 of Section 9, and the west 1/2 of south west 1/4 (less 30 acres in south east corner sold to I. C. Hill) of Section 10, all in Township 15, Range 13, in Lowndes County, Alabama, to have and to hold to the said Virginia Louise Beers, her heirs and assigns forever. Third: I hereby appoint B. Beers, being duly sworn on his oath, deposes and says that he was personally well acquainted with the said Anna Virginia Mealing in her lifetime, and that she departed this life in the month of May, 1901, in Lowndes County, Alabama, and that she was then and inhabitant of said Lowndes County.
