Caffey, Sr. Will Book D, pages 428 - 430 State of Alabama } Lowndes County } December 5th, 1932 Know all men by these presents that I, Jeff D. Caffey, Sr., being of sound mind and memory and being award of the uncertainty of life, do hereby make, declare, and publish this my Last Will or Codicil thereto by me at any time heretofore made. First. I do hereby will and direct that my just debts shall be paid by Executors, herein named, as soon as may be found to be practicable. Second. I do hereby will and bequeath to my wife, Rosa, the homestead and 160 acres of land afound it. After her death, I want the house to go to Rosa D., the youngest daughter, and the land divided equal between here children. Third. I do hereby will and bequeath to my legal children the remaining part of my property, 550 acres of land, divided equally. Fourth. I want my daughter Tee Lilli???? Share to go to her six children. Fifth. Cawthom in the northwest corner, Tee's children in the northeast corner, Jeff Davis, JR. between them and my wife Rosa's on the north side. James Calloway, where he now resides, Rosa D. on the South side, Clemmie's on the east side where Edd Gordon now resides. Sixth. I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint Clemmie Caffey Brayboy and James Caffey to be my Executors of this my Last Will and Testament, and I do hereby expressly exempt them from making any bond before qualifying as such Executor. Lee Judge of Probate Lowndes County, Ala Proof of Will The State of Alabama } Lowndes County } Probate Court In the matter of the Probate of the Last Will and Testament of Jeff D. Caffey, deceased. Before me, W. H. Lee, Judge of Probate Court in and for the County and State aforesaid, personally appeared in open Court Carolyn C. Rudulph who, having been by be first duly sworn and examined, did and does depose and say that she is a subscribing witness to the foregoing instrument of writing, now shown to the said affiant and which purports to be the last Will and Testament of Jeff D. Caffey, since deceased, late an inhabitant of this County, that the said Jeff D. Caffey, now deceased, signed and executed the said instrument on the day the same bears date, and declared the same to be his last Will and Testament and that affiant set her signature thereto on the day the same bears date, as a subscribing witness to the same, in the presence of said testator and at his request and that said testator was of sound mind and disposing memory and understanding and, in the opinion of affiant, fully capable of making his said Will at the time the same was so made as aforesaid. And deponent further states that said testator was on the day of the date of said Will of the full age of twenty-one years and upward and a resident of this County.
