A NUMBER OF DEATHS REPORTED THIS WEEK

The pleasure of the holidays has been marred by a number of deaths of people 
known to many in this community. The following have been reported to the 
Leader office:

Mr. Dixie Freeman died Monday night at his home in Atlanta. Interment will be 
in the family lot in Notasulga [Macon Co., AL] at one o'clock this afternoon. 

He formerly resided in Roanoke where he had many friends. His untimely end 
leaves Miss Berta Freeman, a sister of the deceased, as the only surviving 
member of the family. A number of friends from this place will attend the 
funeral.
