Tommy Ragland, Judge Of Probate, Madison County, Huntsville, Al. Written: April 12, 1841 Thomas G. Rochell Constable Securities To & Bond Auther P. Bagby Governor Know all men that we Thomas G. Rochell, Joseph Scallons, and Thomas W. Martin of the County of Madison in the state of Alabama,and held and bound unto Arthur P. Bagley, Govenor of said state and his successors in office in the penalsass of one thousand dollars for the payment of which we and each of us find ourselves our heirs,executors and adiminstrators jointly, severally, and firmly by these presents witnessess our hand and seal this 12th day of April one thousand eight hundred and forty one. The condition of this obligation is such, that whenever the above bond Thomas G. Rochell was on the first day of March one thousand eight hundred and forty one elected a constable in Captain Hammon's beat by the qualified electors of said beat, Now if the said above bound Thomas G. Rochell shall well and truly discharge all the duties appertaining to said office, pay over all monies collected by him in venue thereof, to the persons entitled thereto, and in all things demean himself as an officer of the peace then the above obligation shall be void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
