C. Baldridge took place from the M.E. church on Thursday afternoon of last week. A large concourse of sorrowing citizens followed the remains to the grave, and impressive services of the church and the various orders, of which the deceased was a beloved, honored and prominent member were conducted at the grave. Dr. Baldridge's career as a man, physician and Christian was worthy of emulation by young men of our city. Through his own energies he worked his way up in his profession, until he became a leading physician of our city, with the confidence, respect and love of the entire community, leaving a name untarnished as a beautiful legacy to his devoted wife and children. Peace to his ashes! Additional Comments: Dr. Baldridge was president of The Medical Association of the State of Alabama in 1889 and president of the Madison County Health Board from 1887 to 1894. His son, Dr. Felix Edgar Baldridge, was president of the Madison County Medical Society in 1916. Both are buried at Maple Hill Cemetery.
