Bridges Rowe L. Bridges, age 32 years, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Bridges of this county, died Sunday morning at 10:20 o’clock at his home near Monrovia after a lingering illness. The deceased was a highly respected citizen of Madison county. He had a large circle of friends who will regret to learn of his death. Mr. Bridges was a faithful employee of the Mason Furniture Co., until several months ago when he was forced to retire because of failing health. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Nannie Sue Bridges, a son Jefferson, a half-brother, Russell, two half sisters, Mrs. Luke Barnes, and Mrs. Bayless Swindle of Athens, his parents in law, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Bragg, T. L. Bridges and several uncles and aunts. Funeral services were conducted this morning at 10:30 o’clock at the residence of T. L. Bridges near Monrovia, the Rev. H. E. Rice officiating with interment in St. Johns cemetery. Poole-McCaleb were in charge of arrangements. The following served as pall bearers: Floyd Lock, Fred, Claude, John, Otey and Homer Bridges and Howard Bridges and Howard and Clarence Tidwell.
