The Huntsville Daily Times, Sunday, 2 March 1930
  Mrs. Lula M. Carter, wife of the late L. H. Carter passed away at 8:30 
o’clock Saturday morning at her home at Hazel Green, Ala.
  Surviving her are eight children W. H. Carter and Mrs. Frank McKenzie of 
Huntsville, Mrs. W. M. Kennedy, Beans Creek, L. M. Carter, Little Rock, Ark., 
Mrs. G. G. Cornell, Hazel Green, Ed, Mildred, and Doris at home.  Funeral 
services will be conducted at State Line Church Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock 
with Lowe in charge. 
  Pall bearers will be H. A. Bobo, J. N. Bland, M. L. Cole, E. G. Fisk, W. A. 
Noblin and G.D. McCown.
