CLARKE – At Decatur, Ala., Oct. 8, 1881, Judge James S. Clark, after a 
lingering illness.
  He was distinguished as a lawyer, judge, and legislator, and was a man of 
fine talents and acquirements.  He was, in his last illness, baptized, and 
received the Holy Communion.
