COOPER died at Tuscumbia, Ala., June 17, 1884, aged 62 or 63 years. Mr. Cooper has been in bad health for several months, from heart disease complicated with other complaints. He went to Tuscumbia, last week, to visit his brother-in-law, Ex-Gov. R. B. Lindsay, for recuperation, but died there. He was our friend in boyhood, always genial and pleasant in social life, a characteristic which made him many friends. He was a devoted husband, son and brother. He was a member of the Episcopal Church, and we hope he will, reap the Christian’s reward in Heaven. We extend heart-felt condolence to his bereaved family. His remains are expected to reach here at 4 p.m., and his funeral to take place at the Church of the Nativity at 5 o’clock.
