R. Cruse, died of pneumonia in Memphis, Tenn., Dec. 5, 1883, in his 24th year. Frank was a noble specimen of manhood—a favorite in society, because he was generous, genial, jovial and witty; esteemed, publicly, for his integrity, business habits and qualifications; beloved, in the family circle, as a tender and loving son and brother. Better than all, he was a believer in the faith as it was once delivered to the saints, and died in the communion of the Protestant Episcopal Church. His remains were brought to Huntsville and after funeral services by the Rev. Dr. Banister in the Church of the Nativity, in which he was reared, were deposited in the family plot in our City Cemetery. Tears for the living, ineffable bliss for the dead.
