JOSEPH CADWALLADER GREEN, Esq., third son of the late Dr. Allen Jones Green, of this city, died of pneumonia in Denver, Colorado, March 8, 1884, about 26 years old. Cad. (as he was familiarly called) was born in Columbia, S.C. The family came to Huntsville to reside about 15 or 16 years ago, and Cad was reared and educated here. He studied law and was admitted to the Bar about six years ago. Shortly after, he became a clerk in the office of the Register in Chancery, and continued there till last Fall, when he went to Denver, Col., and was employed in office duty by the South Park R. R. Co. He was social, genial, manly, chivalrous, which made him a favorite in society, while his talents, integrity, capacity for and strict attention to business, secured the esteem of the legal profession and the general public. A dutiful and loving son and brother, he was greatly beloved by his family. The sad news of his death, received Saturday afternoon, was a grievous shock to his family and friends in this community. May God comfort the hearts of his afflicted family! His remains left Denver last Monday night, and are expected here for burial next Friday.
