Hambrick, aged about 50 years. The deceased had had two or three chills during the week. On Friday, he worked all day at his gin. About night, he went to his house, complained of feeling very badly, and while taking off his clothes to lie down, sank down on the bed, and died in two or three minutes. He was a tender and devoted husband and father, a kind-hearted, generous, charitable man, and, for years, a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South. He entered the Confederate army as a Lieutenant, rose to Captain, and, then, Lieutenant Colonel, in the 4th Ala. Cavalry, and served gallantly to the close of the war. He left a widow and one son, who is a lunatic in the Asylum at Tusl aloosa. Our tenderest sympathies are extended to them. Additional Comments: Transcribed exactly as written, apparently Tusl aloosa should be Tuscaloosa.
