A. Johnson ----------------------------------------- Circumstances beyond our control prevented our paying a proper tribute to this worthy young man, in announcing his death, which occurred in Huntsville, Sunday, January 1, 1882. He was a Virginian by birth, but had lived in Huntsville several years, clerking for mercantile houses, and, last, for Messrs. Duncan & Rand. He was one of the most worthy and exemplary young men in the business and social circles of Huntsville, and therefore, we sincerely deplore his death, and condole with his bereaved relatives and friends. He was in the 24th year of his age. The funeral took place on the following Tuesday morning, from the residence of Mr. W. T. Duncan, Rev. W. F. Kone officiating; and the large attendance of relatives and sympathizing friends manifested the high estimation which he was held in this city.
