Lamb Charley L. Lamb, aged 70 years, died Monday afternoon at 5 o’clock at Merrimack hospital after an illness of several months. He was a highly respected citizen of Madison county and during the last several years has been an official of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics. He was known throughout the county and had a host of friends who were grieved to learn of his death. Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at 2 o’clock from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Lee Creek at 328 B street with Rev. Elijah Upton officiating and interment was in Maple Hill with Poole McCaleb in charge. Mr. Lamb is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Callie Swinford and Mrs. Ada Creek. The Juniors had charge at the grave.
