Ragsdale of Hurricane Precinct Dead After Ten Days Illness --------------------- Death took another toll from the rapidly thinning ranks of the Confederate veterans yesterday in the passing of Thomas B. Ragsdale, age 91 years, a retired farmer of the Hurricane precinct. Mr. Ragsdale was one of the best known and most beloved residents of the eastern section of the county and his friends will regret to learn of his passing. He died after an illness of ten days. Funeral services were conducted this morning at 11 o’clock at the residence at Hurricane, the Rev. Luther Browning officiating with Laughlin and Wood in charge. Interment was made in the family plot in the Sharps’ Grove cemetery. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Lucy Ragsdale who lives at home and Mrs. L. D. Acuff of this city, three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. The deceased served through the four years of the Civil War. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
