    Mrs. Rhoda Rountree
  Funeral services for the late Mrs. Rhoda Rountree whose death occurred 
suddenly Friday morning at her home on Oak avenue will be conducted at the 
residence of Miss Mary Hutchens, Oak Avenue, this morning at 9 o’clock, the 
Rev. Robert Echols, pastor of the First Methodist church officiating with 
interment in Maple Hill cemetery.  The following friends will serve as 
pallbearers – Preston Geron, George Beason, John Landman, Thomas W. Jones, 
Floyd Gilliam and Kirby Cartwright.
  Surviving are three sons, Charles, of Memphis, James, of Glendora, Miss., 
and Harry of Gilbert, La. 
  Mrs. Rountree was the widow of the late Frank Rountree and was a member of 
one of the county’s most prominent families.
