Mr. Samuel W. Sanford, M. & C. R. R. agent at Brownsboro, Ala., died, suddenly, Dec. 31, 1883. We hear that Mr. Sanford met the East bound train at 9 a. m., and about 10 o’clock, was writing, when he said he could hardly breathe, got __ out on his bed, and soon expired. He had been suffering from rheumatism a week or two, and, we learn, the doctors say he died of rheumation of the heart. He was a most estimable citizen. We deeply regret his sad death and sympathize with his bereaved family.
