Joe H. Thomas
  The funeral of Joe H. Thomas of Dallas was conducted at the Epworth 
Methodist church this afternoon with the Rev. G. F. Smith officiating and 
interment was in Maple Hill cemetery with Poole-McCaleb in charge. 
  Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife Mrs. Rosie Thomas, four sons, H. C. 
Thomas of Chattanooga, Abie Thomas, Hubert and Felix, all of Huntsville; also 
two daughters, Mrs. Hattie Fitch and Mrs. Lassie Northcutt.
  Active pall bearers were Jennings Chisolm, J. D. Carroll, Joe Clark, 
Clarence Certain, W. W. Smith and A. S. Potter.
  Honorary pall bearers were J. F. Owen, Clarence Carroll, D. H. McGaha, Homer 
Lackey and Dave Edgman.
  Mr. Thomas met death Saturday and his son-in-law, E. H. Northcutt is held on 
a charge of murder.
