Gurley Herald, Thursday, 28 Dec 1899
 Mrs. Charlotte Vann, wife of Mr. A. C. Vann, died at the residence of Mr. T. 
F. Vann in this place Tuesday evening after a short illness.
  She was a good woman, a kind wife and mother and her death is greatly 
deplored by all who knew her.  She leaves a husband and one child to mourn her 
loss.
  The burial took place Wednesday afternoon in the Gurley cemetery.  Rev. Chas. 
Wolford conducting the services.
  The bereaved relatives have our sympathies.
